Ebnat is product design with responsibility

According to our experience, sustainability doesn't begin at the end, but at the very beginning – right in the product development process. Our sustainability strategy flows into every new product, right from the very beginning. This forward-thinking approach is our strength – and the added value for our partners.

Our actions are based on the UN Environment Programme. It serves us as a guideline for responsible, future-orientated development - from the idea to series production.

Sustainability is key focus for all changes within the company. All decisions are reviewed, checked for sustainability and documented. This applies particularly to design and product development, but also to technology, production, and sales.

STI-goals & CO2-reduction target

The STI targets for circular products, plastics recycling, family and gender balance, and compliance with labor standards in the supply chain have been implemented on time as key sustainability commitments. CO2 reduction targets are set within the framework of SBTi.

environmental balance

Annually updated environmental balance sheets based on CO2 equivalents and environmental impact points serve as a reference point for reducing environmental impacts in the sense of continuous improvement.

Resources used

The overall footprint is gradually and systematically reduced through systematic assessment and exchange of the resources used.

Production- & energy efficiency

Production efficiency in terms of cost per unit, scrap, and the energy efficiency of plants and infrastructure are measured and continuously improved.

The sustainability strategy and progress are actively communicated to stakeholders and justify performance compensation.

Forest Stewardship Council

The FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) is a globally recognised, independent organisation for the promotion of responsible forest management. It was founded in 1993 by environmental organisations, interest groups and companies in the forestry and timber industry. Ebnat AG is FSC®-certified and thus sends out a clear signal in favour of environmentally and socially responsible timber procurement.

local, sustainable, responsible

Ebnat consciously favours wood from Switzerland - out of ecological and regional conviction. Short transport routes save energy, the added value remains in the region and jobs are secured. We live environmental awareness and sustainability

The environment is very important to us. We are guided by the concept of circular economy.

We know the environmental relevance of the materials used. We handle the materials and resources, such as energy and water, used for our products responsibly. We generate part of our energy with our photovoltaic system and minimise our energy consumption. Wood waste is used to heat our premises. Wherever possible, recyclable materials are used and plastic waste is returned to the cycle

Continuous improvement is an important basis for our actions. We aim for sustainable and healthy growth.
