Ebnat AG exhibits the innovation “A fusion that clicks” at the Ambiente 2018.

Manufacturing high-quality cleaning products with multiple benefits to the end user is a part of Ebnat AG’s strategy. This year, the long-established company from the Toggenburg region once again showcased its expertise in this area with a new washing-up brush made of wood and plastic. At the internationally famous Ambiente trade fair, which took place in Frankfurt from 09/02 – 13/02/2018, the visitors at the innovative Ebnat stand were able to see the novelty.

Expertise in wooden products is proving popular abroad

More than 110 visitors, including important purchasers from notable international companies, purposefully visited the stand of Ebnat AG in order to inform themselves about its products and innovations. This year Ebnat AG presented a novelty: washing-up brushes and toilet brushes with a handle made of Swiss FSC beech wood and a brush head made of plastic. 

The visitors also showed great interest in the “Omnia” product line, which consists of a broom and a hand brush made of high-quality Swiss beech wood with special natural bristles. This edging material is suitable for both indoor and outdoor cleaning; furthermore, it can be used for wet and dry cleaning.

There was also a great demand for the “Swiss” product line, which had been redesigned and given an updated look in the preceding year. The newly designed high-tech joint attached to the modern wooden handle means that the broom can be used in six different positions. For instance, the broom can be used lengthwise and crosswise, as well as tilted for cleaning in an elevated position. The handle is flexible when it is not locked in position, making the broom ideal for cleaning underneath furniture. High-quality pure horsehair was chosen for the edging material, facilitating perfect indoor cleaning.

Finding and occupying niches

First and foremost, the Ebnat team presented these innovations and their multiple benefits to the customers at the trade fair stand. In addition to numerous price enquiries regarding the innovations that will be subsequently addressed, we have already secured a number of orders at the stand. It was clearly evident that the different nationalities (from North and South America, Canada, China, Japan and Korea, and from nearby countries such as Russia, Finland, Sweden, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Great Britain, Germany and Austria) have different demands and needs. To ensure the success of Ebnat AG on the international stage, we need to continue to find the niches in the individual countries in order to place high-quality products “made in Switzerland” accordingly and to adapt them to the needs in the individual countries.

Quality as a recipe for success

Located in the centre of Europe, Ebnat-Kappel demonstrated once more at the Ambiente trade fair that high-quality products from Switzerland are recognised and valued by foreign countries. Meeting these high standards is one of the recipes for success of Ebnat AG on the international stage. This strategic focus enables Ebnat AG, lovingly nicknamed “Bürsti”, to continue to position itself successfully abroad.
