What happens here: All plastic bodies and handles are manufactured here. Production steps: Granulate, which is a granular plastic raw material is coloured and heated up. It is then injected in its plastic (viscous) state into metal moulds made up of many parts. After a short time, the plastic takes on its final appearance and solidifies in air or in a bath of water. As soon as the tooling mould is opened, a robot picks up the plastic parts for further processing. (De-stacking)
A few figures: – Tooling costs (10 times) are between CHF 300,000 and 550,000. (2 components) – The clamping force of the machines lies between approx. 25 and 270 tonnes. – Individual machines here are in production 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. (Unmanned shift)
